4-H Dog Camp – Fun for the Family
BY: Lloyd G Saylor, County Extension Agent for 4-H Youth Development
We know you love your dog. Matter of fact, he’s probably another member of the family! Here’s a great opportunity for the whole family, including the 4-legged ones, to come together and attend the 2013 4-H Dog Camp.
The 4-H Dog Camp is scheduled for May 17-19 at the J. M. Feltner 4-H Camp in London, KY. Youth are encouraged to bring their pet to camp with them. Together they will take classes on a variety of topics surrounding the care and handling of their animal. This is a fun, low-stress environment for youth handlers (beginners to advanced) to practice showing their animal and meet other youth across the state. This is often a "family" outing for the week-end (Friday night - Sunday (noon).
For more information or an application, contact the Butler County Extension Office 112 East G.L. Smith Street, Morgantown or call 526-3767 or 526-3703. Educational programs of the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service serve all people regardless of race, color, age, sex, disability, or national origin.
