BTN Candidate Profile: Alan Cooper/2nd District Magistrate

"Hello, my name is Alan Cooper, and I am running for 2nd District Magistrate in ButlerbCounty.

First, a little about myself: I have lived in Butler County for 34 years. I graduated frombWestern Kentucky University in 1994 and began working at WDNS/WKCT radio in

Bowling Green that same year. That same year I built a home in Butler County and havebresided in the 2nd District ever since.

My wife and I raised our family here, and my daughter attended Butler County schools.bbButler County has been home to me for more than half my life. Although I chose to work

in Bowling Green throughout my career, my heart has always been in our smallbhometown, and I plan to spend the rest of my life here.

I am running for 2nd District Magistrate because I believe my more than 26 years ofbmanagement experience with D93 and WKCT can be of service as a member of the

Fiscal Court. In 2014, I further invested in our community as co-owner of “The Q” (WLBQ radio). My goal was to bring Butler County an FM station so our community

would have a stronger voice and a platform to share the many good things our county has to offer.

While I have not been able to personally visit with everyone in the 2nd District while campaigning, I will work hard to serve you—focusing not only on our district, but on the

county as a whole. One of my top priorities is promoting managed growth while preserving the small-town character that makes Butler County special.

I humbly ask for your vote on May 19 to represent the 2nd District for the next fouryears. Please look for more of my ideas on my Facebook page Alan Cooper for Magistrate 2nd District.
