“It is my distinct honor and privilege to write to the community of Butler County! My name is Talon Gary and I am currently running for Butler County Sheriff. I have been fortunate to be apart of the Butler County Sheriff’s department for little under 10years. I have also been the K-9 unit officer for 7 years. Also, during this time, I have owned and operated my Mowing and Landscaping business.

My fiancé is Jacie Ward and we have a beautiful daughter, Scottlyn Rose Gary. Jacie is the daughter of Scottie & Jamie Ward. My parents are Mark & Missy Gary.

I have one brother, Hunter Gary. He is the principal of Morgantown Elementary School.

My roots run deep in Butler County with me being the 7th generation on my father’s side. My paternal grandparents are Charles B. & Juanita Gary. He was the principal of 4th District Elementary for 22 years; she worked at Lake’s IGA.

My maternal grandparents are Gerald and Jan Jones.

They founded the Jones Funeral Chapel in 1979 and it is currently owned and operated by my uncle and mother.

Butler County is our home and where we will raise our daughter. I want this community to be the absolute best! I love this county and it’s people. I hope to serve you as your next Sheriff.
