Tuck to serve on National Commission
Butler County Schools's Superintendent Robert Tuck has been selected to serve on the National Commission on Learning Ecosystems, a two-year national initiative facilitated by New America, a respected national education and public policy organization. His selection places Butler County Schools among a small group of leaders nationwide, helping shape the future of how schools and communities work together to support students and families.
Mr. Tuck was chosen as one of approximately a dozen local or regional leaders from 74 submissions across the country. He was encouraged to apply by the National Center for Families Learning (NCFL) and submitted a formal application highlighting the innovative work taking place across Butler County.
Participation in the commission includes national convenings, monthly collaboration with peers, and a microgrant to support a local project highlighting Butler County’s community learning partnerships, with the potential for additional funding to further strengthen student programs. Mr. Tuck will attend his first meeting during the National Superintendents Conference in Nashville, connecting Butler County Schools with national leaders shaping the future of education.
The commission’s focus on collaboration mirrors the district’s long-standing commitment to building strong community relationships. Across Butler County, partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, families, and higher education institutions are creating expanded pathways for students. Whether through career-connected learning experiences, family engagement initiatives, or workforce readiness programs, these partnerships demonstrate how learning extends beyond classroom walls.
By serving on this national commission, Mr. Tuck will both share Butler County’s successes and bring back innovative ideas and best practices to further enhance opportunities for local students.
“This invitation reflects the strong work taking place in Butler County Schools and provides our district with a seat at the national table,” Tuck noted. “It offers an opportunity to elevate our partnerships while bringing national perspectives and best practices back to support our students, families, and staff.”
