Bears to visit Adair County
MORGANTOWN — Butler County is set to visit Adair County for its final Class 3A, District 2 matchup in the 2025 high school football season on Friday, Oct. 24.
The Bears have lost to the Indians in back-to-back seasons. However, Butler County reeled off four straight wins over Adair County from 2007-2010.
The Bears will be looking to halt a losing skid at five games.
Butler County is 3-5 overall and 0-4 in Class 3A, District 2. The Bears opened the season 3-0, registering wins over Breckinridge County, Ohio County and Todd County Central.
Grayson County, LaRue County, Edmonson County, Glasgow and Hart County have defeated the Bears.
Through its first eight games in the 2025 high school football season, Butler County has scored 183 points and allowed 227 points. Offensively, Butler County is averaging 309.1 yards and 3.3 touchdowns per game.

Adair County is 2-6 overall and 1-3 in Class 3A, District 2. The Indians have notched wins over Casey County and Edmonson County.
Russell County, Metcalfe County, McCreary Central, Glasgow, LaRue County and Hart County have defeated the Indians.
Through its first eight games in the 2025 high school football season, Adair County has scored 156 points and allowed 220 points. Offensively, Adair County is averaging 267.5 yards and 2.7 touchdowns per game.

Butler County has regular season games remaining versus Adair County and Russellville. Adair County has regular season games remaining versus Butler County and Campbellsville.
Class 3A, District 2 is comprised of Butler County, Adair County, LaRue County, Edmonson County, Glasgow and Hart County. At the conclusion of the regular season, the top four teams from District 2 will advance to the KHSAA Class 3A State Football Playoffs.
The Butler County-Adair County game is slated to kick off at 7 p.m. in Columbia.
