Lady Bears fall to Grayson County

BROWNSVILLE — Butler County suffered a season-ending loss to Grayson County in the semifinals of the 3rd Region Girls' Volleyball Tournament.

Grayson County shut out Butler County 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-14) during the semifinals of the 3rd Region Girls' Volleyball Tournament at Edmonson County on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

Madison Jones (1 kill, 4 blocks, 15 assists, 6 digs, 1 service ace), Evana Martin (2 kills, 2 assists, 7 digs), Jenelle Kimmel (5 kills, 3 blocks, 3 digs, 1 service ace), Miley Franzell (6 kills, 10 digs, 1 service ace), Emmie Hawkins (2 kills, 3 digs), Megan Clark (2 kills, 15 digs), Samantha Johnson (1 kill, 1 assist, 27 digs, 1 service ace), Kyra Webster (1 dig) and Delaney Newcom each contributed for Butler County during the region tournament match.

Butler County showed improvement throughout the 2025 girls' high school volleyball season. The Lady Bears exited the 2025 girls' high school volleyball season 12-23.
