Bears lose district game to Hart County

MUNFORDVILLE — Butler County couldn't battle back from behind as Hart County pulled away to win 42-7 in a Class 3A, District 2 game on Friday, Oct. 17.
The Raiders won on Homecoming Night.
Hart County dealt Butler County its fifth straight loss. Following the loss, Butler County slipped to 3-5 overall and 0-4 in Class 3A, District 2.
Hart County controlled the Class 3A, District 2 matchup, gradually pulling away to win convincingly.
The Raiders led 21-7 at halftime.
Quarterback Brody Dockery paced Butler County offensively, completing 14 passes for 140 yards and one touchdown. Dockery connected with receiver Carson Davis on a scoring pass. Davis hauled in three receptions for 39 yards and one touchdown.
Cainan Vincent paced Butler County in receiving. Vincent hauled in four receptions for 59 yards.
Butler County rushed 23 times for 103 yards. Kevin Robins emerged as Butler County's leading rusher, finishing with 56 yards via nine carries.
Aiding Butler County on the ground, Dockery rushed nine times for 40 yards.
Robins led Butler County defensively, recording a game-high 13 tackles. Behind Robins, Clay Steff and Christian White tallied eight tackles apiece for the Bears.
Delivering on special teams for Butler County, kicker Jonathan Portillo made his lone extra point kick attempt.
Butler County is scheduled to visit Adair County for its final Class 3A, District 2 game in the 2025 high school football season on Friday, Oct. 24.
