Bears finish runner-up in 11th District

Butler County finished runner-up in the 11th District Boys' Soccer Tournament at Grayson County on Friday, Oct. 3.

Meade County edged Butler County 1-0 in the 11th District Boys' Soccer Tournament title match.

Defensively for Butler County, goalkeeper Landon Beatty delivered nine saves.

Following the loss, Butler County slipped to 7-8-1.

Both Meade County and Butler County advance to the 3rd Region Boys' Soccer Tournament.

Butler County 5, Grayson County 0: Butler County shut out Grayson County 5-0 during the semifinals of the 11th District Boys' Soccer Tournament in Leitchfield on Thursday, Oct. 2.

Reynaldo Paiz (two goals, one assist), Jonathan Portillo (two goals), Carter West (one goal), Kevin Mendoza (two assists) and Eliazar Cordona (one assist) accounted for Butler County's offense.

Defensively for Butler County, goalkeeper Landon Beatty recorded a shutout. Beatty made eight saves in Butler County's shutout win.
