MEETING: Butler County Fiscal Court

Butler County Fiscal Court met on Monday, September 22, at the courthouse.  All magistrates were in attendance: Stevie Giveens, Kevin Phelps, Allen Smith, David Whittinghill, and Dillon Bryant.

 


Old Business

Ben Vance, from AT&T, was scheduled to return to the court with updated quotes for phone service.  He was not in attendance.


New Business

P & P Telecommunications submitted a quote for phones and service.  The magistrates reviewed the quote.  According to Judge/Executive Tim Flener, he is also expecting quotes from Verizon and other companies.  The court took no action on phone service for the courthouse and E-911.


The court approved the payment of the city of Rochester's monthly bills for July, $1,316.62, and August, $977.08.


The court approved the following appointments for the Butler County Ambulance Board: Chad Johnson, for a term of one year, and Deborah Worley and Bobby McKee for a term of two years.


Magistrates also approved a refund of $1,795 for Butler County Leasing, LLC, for the 2024 net profit tax payment.


Fiscal Court approved the following additional items:

--Bills and Transfers

--PVA Statutory Contribution

--Budget Amendment- FEMA Funds

--Spay/Neuter Application

--Transfer $35,000 from the General Fund to the Jail Fund

--Transfer $20,000 from the General Fund to the E911 Fund

 --Litter Abatement payments to Belmont Basketball, Belmont Volleyball, BCMS BETA, BCMS Boys Basketball, BCMS Volleyball, BC Bass Team, Rochester Ladies League, KB Prospects, and BC Shriners
