Butler County rolls to win on homecoming 52-0

MORGANTOWN — Butler County rolled past Todd County Central 52-0 on homecoming Friday, Sept. 5.
The Bears moved to 3-0 after registering the win.
Butler County started strong and led 14-0 at the conclusion of the opening quarter.
The Bears entered halftime ahead 26-0 and continued to dominate after the intermission period.
Butler County led 45-0 at the end of the third quarter.
Quarterback Brody Dockery paced Butler County through the air, completing 10 passes for 130 yards and four touchdowns.

Carson Davis and Kaiden Richardson each hauled in two touchdown pass receptions for the Bears.
Butler County rushed 24 times for 250 yards and three touchdowns in its shutout win. Richardson paced Butler County on the ground, rushing 11 times for 167 yards and one touchdown.

Contributing on the ground for Butler County, Dockery and Kevin Robins added one rushing touchdown apiece. Robins rushed eight times for 80 yards and one TD.

The versatile Robins paced Butler County defensively, recording nine tackles. Following Robins in the key defensive category for the Bears, Clay Steff and Will Amos delivered seven tackles apiece.
Richardson and Steff each recorded an interception. Finding the endzone via defense, Richardson returned his interception 46 yards for a touchdown.
Robins, Mason Ashby and Benjamin Clark each recovered one fumble for the Bears.
Kicker Jonathan Portillo paced Butler County on special teams, making four six extra-point kick attempts.
Butler County is scheduled to visit Grayson County for its next game on Friday, Sept. 12.
