Local Man Honored with First Pitch at Reds Game
CINCINNATI, OH – July 12, 2025 — It was a moment to remember for one Butler County resident on Saturday evening as Jason Mode took the mound at Great American Ball Park to throw out the ceremonial first pitch ahead of the Cincinnati Reds game.

Mode, an employee of McCormick Equipment, was nominated by his employer for the honor, recognizing his hard work, leadership, and community involvement. With the sun shining down on a packed crowd, Mode delivered a strike to the delight of fans and his proud family watching from the sidelines.
Jason was joined on the field by his wife, April, also in attendance was their two children, Brycen and Emmalin. The Mode kids are athletes themselves, both playing for the Butler County Bears — Brycen in baseball and Emmalin in softball.
The Reds went on to defeat the visiting team in a nail-biting 4–3 victory, adding another layer of celebration for the Mode family and the hometown crowd.
