The 2025 Green River Catfish Festival Terrapin Race was held July 4 at the high school softball field. The annual event featured 190 entries and was sponsored by Cassia Lodge #272 F&AM, Jones Funeral Chapel and Monument Company, WarrenRECC, Drakes Farm Service, Henderson Land Surveying, Butler County Shrine Club, and P31.

18 individual heat races were held and then a championship race with all of the individual winners from each race.

Taking the top prize was Emma Flener ($25 and trophy); 2nd place was Bennett Givens ($10 and trophy); 3rd place Miles Martin ($5 and trophy).  

All trophies were donated by R.B. Griffin/Bullseye Taxidermy.

Below are the results for all individual heat races.  For the all heat race winners the payout was - 1st $20; 2nd $15; 3rd$15; 4th $10; 5th $10.
