13 tagged fish caught in the Green River Catfish Classic

The Green River Catfish Classic Fishing Tournament, sponsored by Jones Funeral Chapel, is officially in the books with a total of 13 tagged fish caught. Several lined the banks of the Green River during the three-day event June 27-29. 

One of these lucky anglers could be the winner of a $10,000 prize for their tagged catfish.

The following individuals caught tagged fish:  David Shain, Kendall Embry, Dana Lynn Bledsoe, Chris Givens, Eric Milam, John Coots, Trenton Butler, Donnie Cox, Chad Cox (2), Billy Hurd, Jeff Raymer, and Hannah Bush.

"We want to thank everyone who participated, supported, and helped continue this incredible tradition of the fishing tournament," said Committee Chairman Marty Jones and Co-Chairman Dionne Cannon Merritt. 

The amounts of the tagged fish will be revealed on July 5th at 4 p.m. at the fairgrounds. 

According to tournament officials, if you caught a tagged fish you must be present for the reveal. Additionally, cash prizes will be announced at this time.
