SOFTBALL: East-West KY All-Star Game

This past weekend was the East-West KY All-Star game, held at Bowling Green High School. Our very own Coach Amy Rogers had the honor of coaching the West Junior All-Star team. She shared her thoughts on the experience:

“I was so honored to be asked to coach on the West Junior All-Star team with Penny Reece (BGHS Coach) and Rod Bush (Greenwood Coach). I can’t thank the KSCA board enough for the privilege to coach in these games. It was an amazing experience coaching junior girls from other schools, as well as Miley and Karrington from our team. It was two very hot days, but what an experience to watch some of the best juniors and seniors compete against each other in six games.”

We had two players from Butler County representing the team: Miley Franzell and Karrington Hunt, both members of the West Junior Team. They expressed great appreciation for their involvement in this special event.

Franzell stated, “I absolutely loved everything about this weekend. I am so grateful for the ability to participate in an amazing program like the West/East Kentucky All-Stars. It was great having a teammate and coach on the team — we loved representing Butler County! I’ve also made so many friends while playing on this amazing team. It is truly a great program and opportunity for softball players and coaches!”

Hunt added, “It was a great opportunity and a great experience! I loved being able to compete with and against some of the best talent from around the state! I’m very thankful to have been chosen to play this past weekend and always proud to represent Butler County!”

Despite battling the excruciating heat, our girls certainly represented Butler County with pride!

We are incredibly proud of Coach Rogers, Miley, and Karrington for their hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship. Their commitment to excellence continues to shine a bright light on Butler County athletics. Congratulations to all on a memorable and successful weekend!
