74th Annual National Day of Prayer

The 74th Annual National Day of Prayer was held at the Butler County Courthouse on Thursday, May 1st.  Becky Hankins organized the event and welcomed all in attendance. 

Music was provided by Franklin Wiggins, Crossland Community Church Morgantown Campus Pastor, and Savannah Smith, Global Creative Director for Crossland Community Church. 

Gina Tynes, Insurance Agent and Owner of The Essentials Insurance Group, read scripture. 

Various members of the community gathered to pray for the following:

Prayer for the Church: Lawson Embry, Pastor of Welcome Fellowship Church

Prayer for the Government: Tim Flener, Judge Executive

Prayer for the Military: James Morris, CW4 (Retired) Air Defense Warrant Officer

Prayer for Education: Robert Tuck, Superintendent of Butler County Schools

Prayer for the Schools: Harmony Taylor, Senior at BCHS and plans to attend the United States Merchant Marine Academy and

Case Hooten, Senior at BCHS and plans to attend Western Kentucky University

Prayer for the Media: Diane Dyer, Owner of Beech Tree News and WLBQ Radio

Prayer for the Family: Kimberlea Embry, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and retired BCHS teacher

Prayer for Businesses: Kaitlin Cardwell, Owner of Grace Abound Boutique
