MORGANTOWN, KY. (January 28, 2025) – Just before 7:00 a.m., the Kentucky State Police Post 03 received a request for assistance from Morgantown Police Department regarding a shooting incident. Troopers arrived at the scene on West Morrison Street and discovered a male individual with life-threatening injuries. The individual was pronounced deceased by the Butler County Coroner at the scene.  Although the name of a person possibly involved in the shooting has been widely publicized on social media, the KSP had not officially released the name of that individual at the time this story was posted.  This investigation is ongoing and will be lead by Detective Gary Travis.
