Butler County Fiscal Court convened on Monday, January 13, at the courthouse. All magistrates were in attendance: Stevie Givens, Kevin Phelps, Allen Smith, David Whittinghill, and Dillon Bryant.

After approving the minutes from December 23, they entered into old business. 

The court approved the rebuild of the ferry motor by Kelley's Fab & Repairs for $3,528.02.

New Business:

According to Emergency Management Director Charlie Tomes, Midland submitted a bid for 5300 Weather Alert Radios for the county at $29.15 per unit. The county received a 75/25 grant for the purchase of the radios.

Magistrates also approved IMPCO Truck & Track Pros' bid for a snow plow, including the light kit and the salt dog spreader for $12,945.

Deputy Jailer Chad Bratcher presented the jail update on staff policy and procedures in the organizational chart:

The court approved bids on the repair of the roller motor, which was $ 2,692.03, and the grader motor, which was $8,394.88, from Kelley's Fab & Repairs.

The court gave the Butler County Rescue Squad $4,031.88 for their part of a grant to purchase an E3 spreader and cutter.

Magistrates approved the 2025 Generator Service Contract with Blanton Electric for 12 generators for $4,250. This contract includes regular maintenance and emergency repair services for the generators, ensuring they remain in optimal condition for the next year.
