The Butler County Chapter of the DAR hosted a breakfast for all Veterans on November 9 at Butler County High School.  

Debbie Worley welcomed everyone to the event. Gail Gaddie led the pledge to the flag, and Peggy Drake led the opening prayer.

Following the breakfast, the Veterans of the Year were formally recognized and honored for their exceptional service.  

Jane Smith shared Stevie Joe Pharris's military history. Pharris's daughter, Amy Deweese, accepted the certificate on behalf of her Dad, who was unable to attend. 

Pam Staples shared her Dad's, Steve Staples, military service with the group. Debbie Worley presented Staples with his certificate.  

Butler County Clerk Sherry Johnson presented all Veterans with a small gift for their service.  

Ann Bartholomew recognized all the veterans who were present.
