MS FOOTBALL: BCMS 7th falls to Muhlenberg in GRVC championship

The Butler County Middle School 7th grade Bears traveled to Muhlenberg County on October 2nd and competed in the Green River Valley Conference Championship against the Mustangs.

The Mustangs were able to capitalize on a stop to get on the board first. The score remained 6-0 through three quarters. Late in the fourth quarter the Bears were looking to score until penalties set them back and forced a turnover. Unfortunately, the Bears fell by a score of 12-0.

“I couldn’t be more proud of the growth I have seen this season. The future is bright for this group of young men,” said BCMS head coach Kory Johnson. The 7th grade team showed resilience and grit no matter the circumstance.

Coach Johnson finished his 6th year coaching at BCMS with eight GRVC runner-up finishes and one championship.
