Givens receives Democratic Woman's Award

Dr. Deborah Taylor Givens of Morgantown was awarded the Ann Shanks Bourne Award at the Democratic Woman's Club of Kentucky's 97th Annual Convention, which took place at the Deibel Barn in Maples Park, Crestwood, Kentucky.

The Anne Shanks Bourne Award is bestowed as a tribute to outstanding Democratic women who are leaders par excellence in the pursuits of life, exemplary in their support of the Democratic Party, community service, and a wide variety of worthwhile projects. It's the state's highest and most prestigious award given to a Democratic woman.

Givens was also elected as the new 1st Member at Large. She currently

the president of the Butler County Democratic Woman's Club.
