Butler County High School honored their Bass Fishing team seniors.

Blake Tomes is the son of Brandon and Deana Jo Tomes of Morgantown, KY. He is a founding member of the Bass Fishing Team and has been on the Bass Team for three years. Blake was also a member of the BCHS Football Team. After high school, Blake plans to attend SKYCTC to pursue a degree in computerized manufacturing. One of Blake's favorite memories from the Bass Team is going to Regionals for the first time. He would advise other upcoming anglers: Keep your heads up and always keep fishing!

Jayden Jenkins is the son of Jeff and Becky Jenkins of Aberdeen, KY. He is also a founding member of the Bass Fishing Team and has been on the Bass Team for three years. After high school, Jayden plans on learning industrial maintenance. One of Jayden's favorite memories from the Bass Team is catching his first small-mouth bass. Here is some advice he would give other upcoming anglers: Enjoy it! It goes by fast, and most importantly, have fun. Jayden would like to thank his parents for everything they have done for him.

Coach Tyree: "Being founding members of our fledgling team Jayden and Blake helped to define it. The Butler County Bass Team could not have been in better hands. Being part of Jayden and Blake's high school fishing experience has been an honor and privilege. I'm confident these fine young men will positively influence everyone they encounter in the future."

Coach Gibbs: "It's been a pleasure coaching these young men this past year and fishing with them for the past three years. They have both come far and improved tremendously since the start of their angler journey. I hope they keep excelling on the water, and I may see them in an open tournament someday. I wish them the best of luck in the future.
