Brownsville Road accident sends four to hospital

The 18-year-old driver and three juvenile passengers were all transported to the hospital on Monday, June 26, following a single-car crash on Brownsville Road/KY 70 East in north Butler County.  Two of the four were taken to the Medical Center in Bowling Green, while two others were air-lifted by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville.  Three of the four have since been released while one remains hospitalized.


According to law enforcement officers, the driver, Isaiah Hemminger, apparently lost control of a 2009 Ford Focus, went off the side of the road and flipped several times.  One of the juveniles was ejected from the back seat of the vehicle.  The accident occurred at around 10:30 a.m.

 

Multiple emergency agencies and law enforcement officers responded to the scene. They included Butler County Sheriff's Deputy Trey Flener, Emergency Management Director Charlie Tomes, Butler County EMS, Medical Center EMS, Butler County Rescue Squad.
