Gary Named MES Principal

The search has ended for principal at one of two elementary schools in Butler County as today, Morgantown Elementary School hired Hunter Gary. Out of eighteen applicants, the SBDM council and Superintendent Robert Tuck interviewed four candidates which Superintendent Tuck described as “outstanding candidates with each having their own unique qualities.” 


Based on the criteria established by the council, with significant input from stakeholders and following their identified process, the council offered the job to Hunter Gary and he accepted the position.  


Mr. Gary is a 2011 graduate of Grayson County High School.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education at Western Kentucky University in 2015.  He went on to get his Master of Education in Teacher Leadership from Midway University in 2018.  He is finishing his Rank I in Principal Licensure at Asbury University.  


Gary taught Physical Education in Grayson County as well as Morgantown Elementary. Most recently, he served as assistant principal at Grayson County High School for the 2019-2020 school year.
