DAR Good Citizen Award

The Butler County Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution is proud to announce Annie Locke as the recipient of the DAR Good Citizen Award for 2020.

Annie Locke is the daughter of Bryan and Jeanie Locke of Morgantown, Kentucky. Annie is a senior at Butler County High School where she maintains a 4.0 GPA. She is a founding member of the Student Y Club of which she has been president for 2 years. She is a 4-year member of FCCLA and held office of Vice President of Community Service. She served as Editor of the Yearbook Committee. Annie served as Historian for the Beta Club. She worked as Student Correspondent for the Green River Banner Republican. Annie has served her community through many different clubs, church, and other groups. She also loves running, cooking, and reading.

Upon graduation Annie plans to attend Southcentral Kentucky Technical College as well as Western Kentucky University. It is her dream to teach at either school.

Annie will receive her award at the D. A. R. Silver Tea on April 30th at 7:00pm at the Butler County Education Complex. Congratulations to Annie.
