KSP Post 3 Investigates Two Vehicle Injury Collision in Warren County

Rockfield, KY (June 12, 2019)- On Wednesday, June 12th at 1:29 PM (CST) the Kentucky State Police Post 3, Bowling Green received a call for service from the Warren County Sheriff’s Department requesting assistance with an investigation regarding a two vehicle injury collision. The collision had occurred on US 68, near the intersection of Stamps Road. Trooper First Class Joe Gregory responded to the collision.
A preliminary investigation has revealed that James Embry (41) of Morgantown, KY was operating a 2006 Mack brand dump truck traveling eastbound on US 68 near the Logan County line. Embry had pulled onto US 68 from Stamps Road and was accelerating, when he was struck from behind by a 2004 International service truck being operated by Blake Jones (23) of Bowling Green.
Blake Jones was flown via medical helicopter to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision. He is currently listed in stable condition. James Embry refused medical treatment/transport while on scene.
The investigation continues and is currently being led by Trooper First Class Joe Gregory. Trooper First Class Gregory was assisted on scene by other KSP personnel, Warren County Sheriff’s Department, Auburn Fire Department, Logan County Sheriff’s Department, Browning Fire Department and AirEvac. No further information is available for release at this time.
