The City of Morgantown will be hosting the King of the Green bass tournament presented by Jackson Chiropractic on Saturday, September 1^st.  The tournament will be ran by the Butler County Bassmasters and will take place at the Morgantown Boat Ramp on the Green River.  There is a guaranteed $1,000 first place prize for the team with the largest 5 fish limit.  The tournament will start at 6:30 am and weigh-in is at 2:30 pm.

This is the second year for this bass tournament, which has been a success in promoting the outdoor opportunities in Butler County.  The purpose of this event is to draw attention to the wonderful fishing on the Green River and it’s tributaries and showcase the beauty of Butler County. 

The tournament entry fee will be $50/boat.  There is a full list of rules on the Butler County Bassmasters website, www.butlercountybassmasters.webs.com.  Anglers will be required to sign a copy of the rule sheet as a liability release and acknowledgement of understanding the rules in place.  All teams will be required to have at least one angler present at a pre-tournament meeting at 6:15 am the morning of the tournament.
