Over 350 attend "Waves on Wheels" for stingray experience

It was standing room only last week at the Eva J. Hawes building as the Waves on Wheels event splashed into Morgantown.  Approximately 350 people were in attendance to take part in a live stingray experience.  The program was presented by the Butler County Public Library with the various sea attractions made possible by the Wave Foundation at the Newport Aquarium.  Kids were able to be “up close and personal” with stingrays, as well as learn about the sea creatures and their habitat.   The first 30 attendees received a free gift bag.

Don Lindsey displayed his fossil exhibit.

Locally, the event was made possible in part by the City of Morgantown, Chad’s Body Shop & Wrecker Service, Beech Tree News, Yellowberri, WLBQ - 1o1.5 FM, The Hampton Company, Butler County Arts Guild, and the Essentials Insurance Group.
