Fugate plans to retire as Butler Co. Jailer; Judge-Executive Fields expected to appoint Deputy Jailer Rocky Tyree as new jailer
According to a meeting agenda released yesterday afternoon by Butler County Fiscal Court, Butler County Jailer Terry Fugate plans to retire as jailer. Fugate has approximately two years remaining on his current term of office. Judge-Executive David Fields, through executive order, is expected to appoint Rocky Tyree as the new jailer, according to the meeting agenda. Tyree is currently a deputy jailer. Circuit Judge Ron Dortch is scheduled to swear in Tyree as the new jailer. The called meeting is scheduled Thursday, December 29, at 5 p.m. at the Butler County Courthouse.
