A large turnout of shooters and fans came out to the Charles Black City Park on Saturday, July 2, for the Green River Catfish Festival Archery Tournament.  The event was sponsored by Morgantown Bank & Trust and all proceeds were donated to the Butler County Schools' Archery teams. Awards were given for top awards in each grade level, adult male, adult female, and child/adult team.  Particiants shot from 10 and 15-meter range distances as determined by categories.  

Several schools were represented at the event, including Morgantown Elementary, Muhlenberg County, Breckinridge County, Richardsville Elementary, North Butler Elementary, Edmonson County, Butler County Middle School, and Butler County High School.

Melody Barks coordinated the event for Morgantown Bank and Trust.  She described the event as a success.  

"The event went really well today.  It was a great turnout and we're glad to be supporting the archery program," said Barks.
