Letter to the editor
As veterans, my daughter and I served this country (my service was for 2 years, my daughter’s for 6 years) in order to give each eligible voter the right to cast his or her ballet the way they see fit. There are veterans on either side of this issue that fought, bled, and some died to give us the right to do so, without the fear of ridicule, condemnation, coercion, or bullying from those who disagree with us. Those who do those things either never served or never understood the meaning of their service. Please go to the polls on January 26th, and vote for whatever you feel is best for our community. Your vote is YOUR vote and it is cast in private. Remember those who sacrificed to give you that right. They did it for all of us.
