Students enrolled in the Automotive Technology program recently took and passed the Automotive Service of Excellence Exams for the Fall 2014 semester. ASE Student exams are given to senior students who have just completed the Two year automotive program offered by Butler County Area Technology Center. Instructor Randal Collins said these tests are a good way to gauge the student’s abilities and skill it takes to get and retain an entry level position in the Automotive Repair field. He also went on to say “ I can honestly say each one of these young men have taken this challenge very seriously and I am proud to announce we had a 98 percent pass rate”.  ASE is the premier testing organization in which most of the technicians in the automobile field are held to. Passing the Student ASE tests in all eight areas will give the student a head start in qualifying for the True ASE tests after they have received two years of experience in the field.
