Floyd G. Parrish

Floyd G. Parrish, a man whose generosity of spirit and adventurous soul touched the lives of many, passed away on March 25, 2024, at the age of 69. Born on December 4, 1954, in Butler County, Kentucky, Floyd's journey came to a peaceful close in Roundhill, Kentucky, as a result of a car accident. Floyd grew up surrounded by the loving embrace of his parents, Walter and Jennie Lou Penley Parrish, and the guiding light of his grandparents, Eldon and Pearl Parrish and Bertie and Dona Goodwin.

Pam G. Hudson, age 64, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. She was born to Lucian and Lorine Woodcock Embry in Butler County, KY on November 30, 1959. She worked at Kellwood and Kanes. Pam attended Grace Temple Church and loved to play games and drink coffee.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jesse Dwaine Hudson; three sisters Midge Shepherd, Wilda Bratcher and Martha Garner; three brothers Jesse Duey Embry, Chuck Embry and Pete Embry.

Asberry “Judy” Givens McCoy, age 100, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at her home.  She was born in Little Rock, AR on Aug. 24, 1923.   She was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker.  She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Murnie Hudnall Givens; husband Chester McCoy; sisters Area Givens, Ruby Proctor and Ava Mitchell; brother Coakley Givens; step-daughter Erdist Hudson and step son-in-law Vernon Hudson.

MORGANTOWN – William David Rose, 57, of Morgantown died Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 3:41PM in Morgantown. Mr. Rose was born November 16, 1966 in Hopkins County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his wife and daughter. He worked for Clay’s Trucking for 22 years.  He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Foster Rose; nephew, Joshua Keith Ewing; and grandparents, Juanita and Ross Rose, and James and Wilma Brooks.

Buck Givens

Buck Givens, age 87, of Quality, KY. went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 16, 2024. He passed peacefully at his home of 87 years. Buck was born on Tuesday, July 21, 1936 on the family farm in Quality to the union of Charlie and Polly Hope Givens. He retired from Emerson Electric in 1994 after 32 years.

Vickie Diane Murphy McIntosh, age 68, of Louisville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, March 14, 2024. She was born in Jefferson County, KY on January 18, 1956 to the late Willis C. Murphy, Sr. and Frances J. Robinson Murphy. She was a retired teacher’s aide and deputy county clerk for Bullitt county.  She was a member of Independent Baptist Church and a volunteer E.M.T. for the Zoneton Fire Department.

Charles Douglas “Doug” Graham

Charles Douglas “Doug” Graham, 79, of Bowling Green, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. The Butler County native was a son of the late Walter James Graham and Evelyn Bumpus Graham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathan Ross Gibbs; and a brother, Lloyd Graham. Mr. Graham worked at Holley Carburetor and as a parking enforcement officer. He also enjoyed riding horses.
