Joyce Helen Phelps,  age 81, a beacon of creativity and selflessness, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2024, at the Grayson Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield, KY. Born on June 2, 1942, in Butler County, KY, Joyce's life was a testament to her faith-filled spirit and her boundless capacity to nurture and inspire those around her.

Sarita “Rity” Rice, 68, of McHenry, Kentucky passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, with her family by her side at her residence. She was born July 2, 1955, in McHenry, Kentucky to the late Burchell Leach and Anna Margaret Camp Leach. She retired from Subway and was a member of Church of God of Prophecy. Rity enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Louvenna Leach and Melissa Chinn and brother, Joy A. Leach.

Dakoda James “DJ” Evans

Dakoda James “DJ” Evans, 30, of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of Horse Branch, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024, in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born March 7, 1994, in Owensboro, Kentucky to Michael Evans and Michele Maiden Panchisin. DJ worked as an auto mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Michael Maiden.

William Carson Turner

William Carson Turner, aged 89, departed this world to attend Easter Sunrise in Heaven on  Sunday, March 31, 2024. He passed peacefully with his son, daughter, and grandson at his bedside after a brief illness. He was born Billy Carson Turner in McHenry, Kentucky, to Bertie  Allen and Estella Pearl (Embry) Turner on July 21, 1934. He lived in Welchs Creek, KY. Bill had  a career as a tooling engineer with General Electric. After retirement, he and his wife left  Frankfort and returned to their beloved Butler County roots.

Beth Ann Henderson, age 67 of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at her residence. Beth was born on Tuesday, August 7, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio to the union of the late Charles W. and Dorothy N. Williamson Walters and the wife of the late Joe Henderson. She is preceded in death by several siblings. 

Beth Ann Henderson is survived by two sisters Charlene Landman and Cindy Tyler both of Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

A true cowboy, Bruce always had his cowboy hat on. He enjoyed classic cars, riding horses, going camping, fishing, and hunting, which he was able to do this past season.
