Carrie Marie Annis of Logansport, KY passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Carrie was born on Thursday, February 27, 1947 in Butler County, KY to the union of the late James and Corrine McKinney Goodall and wife of the late Johnnie David Annis. She was a member of Cool Springs General Baptist Church and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Carrie retired from Rite Aid in Morgantown, KY after many years.

Virginia P. “Gingie” Hurst Hines passed away January 18, 2024 at Haven Hospice in Gainesville, Florida. She was born July 13, 1937 to George Arthur and Alma Virginia Flener Hurst, and grew up in Morgantown, Kentucky, graduating from Butler County High School in 1955. On April 10, 1958, she married Thomas Collier Hines and they had three sons, Thomas Collier Hines, Jr., Maurice Scott Hines, and James Wade Hines. Leaving Morgantown in 1965, the family lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Ft.

Michael Anthony "Mike" Phelps, age 78 of Morgantown, KY passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Mike was born Thursday, April 26, 1945 in Alexandria, Virginia to the union of the late Ollie and Catherine Brenner Phelps and husband of the late Betty Jean Havens Sickles Phelps. He was a deacon and member of the Morgantown First Baptist Church and a member of Cassia Masonic Lodge #272. Mike retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation and after retirement he worked for Graves Gilbert Clinic in Bowling Green, KY.

Glydis Talmie Johnson age 88 of Jetson Ky., passed away Saturday the 13th day of January 2024 at his residence. Talmie was born on Sunday, the 30th day of September 1934 in Jetson, KY to the union of the late William Audley and Kelly Rena Woosley Johnson. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed his dogs, chickens, horses, hunting, and gardening. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by 3 children Charlie, Stephen, and Retha Johnson 1 granddaughter Beth Flener, 1 grandson Joshua Johnson, 3 brothers Leslie, J.M., and Billy Johnson, 1 sister Lucille Deweese.

Donald E. "Pure D" Kessinger, age 77 of Morgantown, KY passed away Monday, January 15, 2024 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Donald was born in Dexterville, KY on Wednesday, August 7, 1946 to the union of the late Otis E. and Nova Pharris Kessinger. He retired from Kellwood Corporation after more than 20 years. Donald enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, hunting and fishing, surveying local farms while driving his Ranger, and attending New Liberty Baptist Church where he was a member. Donald was a friend to many and was always there with a helping hand.

Linda L. Ferguson, age 78 of Scottsville, KY passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family. Linda was born on Sunday, August 26, 1945 in Shelby County, KY to the union of the late Fred A. and Alma Welch Monroe. She was a member of Antioch Church of Christ and a retired Head Start Teacher. Linda enjoyed gardening, watching the hummingbirds and her job teaching. 

Earl Beloin, age 79, passed away in Bowling Green, Kentucky on Friday, January 12, 2024. He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on August 4, 1944 to the late William and Ilene Beloin.

Ronald Louis "Ronnie" Smith, age 65 of Quality, KY passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Ronnie was born on Wednesday, January 8, 1958 in Louisville, KY to the union of the late Joseph Harold "Bud" and Anita Antoinette Dirksen Smith. He was a member of Huntsville Methodist Church and a retired machinist. Ronnie enjoyed wood working, lending a helping hand, photographing sunrises and sunsets, making people laugh and spoiling the grandchildren.

Marilyn Elaine "Auntie Bill" Phelps, age 66 of Morgantown, KY passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was born on Friday, April 5, 1957 in Owensboro, KY to the union of the late Erdest C. and Bessie Madean Moore Evans and wife of the late Billy Darrell Phelps. Elaine worked many years for the Butler County Ambulance Service serving as EMT and Butler County dispatcher.
