Cheryl Hughes; Reality TV

I’m not a big fan of reality TV, although I do like “Naked and Afraid,” and that new show, “Tough As Nails.”  I think the reason I’m not a reality TV fan is because the naming of the genre is a misnomer.  Drama TV or Staged TV would be more appropriate titles.  When Garey and

Jarrod Jacobs: What Does Satan Ask Of Us?

Satan is very cunning (Gen. 3:1). He prowls this earth, looking for souls to destroy (I Pet. 5:8). The Bible describes him as a very violent being, filled with hatred, malice, lies, etc. He has waged war against God and Christ for millennia. Therefore, he tries to destroy humanity, God’s creation, as a by-product of this war. We are “collateral damage” in Satan’s war with God! Among other things, he places temptations before us because he knows that when we yield to his temptations, this leads to sin, and sin results in spiritual death (Jas. 1:14-15; Isa. 59:1-2).

Jarrod Jacobs: Love in Marriage

Last week, we began a study of love in marriage. Specifically, we began studying what the Bible says about love from I Corinthians 13 and made applications to the marriage relationship. Why write about this subject and remind men and women of love in marriage?

Most of my internet cruising these days is Twitter and information for articles I write.  If you look at my search history on my laptop, I’d say 90% or more is a hodgepodge of sites devoted to the topic I’m writing about that Tuesday.  Like most all writers, I have my writing

As I have said many times, I am a reader. I enjoy learning things. During the winter weather last week, I read to entertain myself. I want to share three of the things I read about: washing foods, power outages and poll results.
