BCHS Fall Sports Senior Night

Butler County High School recognized the senior athletes on the football team, golf team, cross-country team, dance team, cheerleaders and water girls. Students and their parents were introduced. Thank you to all the players, coaches, parents and families who have supported these programs and help make 2017 a great year!

Butler County Bassmasters on the Green River

Jacob Mudd and Roger Flener take first place.

Butler County Bassmasters held their final points tournament for the 2017 season on Green River at the Rochester boat ramp in Rochester on Saturday, October 14th. The fishing was exceptionally tough.  The river had experienced several inches of rain earlier in the week, and Barren River Lake began their annual winter drawdown, adding even more water to the already swollen river. 15 boats participated in the tournament with  Roger Flener and Jacob Mudd taking 1st place with 9.63 lbs.

BCMS Football Advances to Regional Finals

Butler County Middle School Bears Football played Thursday, October 12th in the second round of the State Football Tournament. The Bears were slated to host the game with Franklin Simpson, but poor field conditions at the high school forced them to forfeit the opportunity and had to travel to Franklin Simpson instead.

Meet the Butler County Middle School Boys Basketball Team

The BCMS Boys Basketball team season get under way Monday, October 23, 2017, and this season looks to be a great one! “We have worked hard in the off season to prepare. We had a great camp and look to focus on our defense this season”. Explained Coach Barnett. “Defense is going to be the deciding factor for many of our games this year.

Butler County Homecoming and Senior Night activities have been scheduled for Thursday, October 26th at the Butler County football field.

6:00         Homecoming parade of cars

6:15         Homecoming will begin

6:30         Band will perform music from their show

6:30         Seniors and parents of seniors being recognized need to meet Mrs. Flener on the side of the grandstands (by the ramp)

Butler County Jr. Pro Softball League organizing for Spring

A new fastpitch softball league for girls ages 9-12 is in the process of organizing for the 2018 spring season.  Eligibility will be determined by a player's age on January 1, 2018.  The new league - Butler County Jr.

BCHS Volleyball Honors Seniors

The Butler County High School Volleyball team honored their three seniors at the last home game of the season. 

Ellie Moore is the daughter of Michele and Michael Moore.  Her grandfather Bro. Murl Gray escorted Ellie on senior night.

BCHS Bears Soccer returns to Regional

The 2017 Butler County High School Boys' Soccer team has secured a return to the 3rd Region Boys' Soccer tournament.  The Bears finished the regular season with a record of 9-7 under the direction of head coach Pat O'Driscoll.
The Bears first-round district tournament win by a score of 2-1 over Grayson County, set up a 11th District Championship game against Meade County. The Bears came up short by the score of 2-1 to Meade but secured the runner-up in the district.

Football Bears sidelined from home games due to safety concerns with field; Homecoming & Senior Night rescheduled

Ongoing field issues with the Butler County High School football field have sidelined the gridiron Bears from hosting home games for the remainder of the season. Butler County School officials made the decision earlier this week citing safety concerns for student athletes.
