Guthrie Hosts Roundtable Discussion on Drug Addiction with Families and Community Members

LOUISVILLE, KY – Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02), who serves as the Republican Leader of the Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee, brought together families who have lost loved ones to drug overdose, addiction treatment professionals, law enforcement, and local officials for a roundtable discussion on how to reduce overdose deaths in Kentucky and better help people in the community overcome substance use disorders.

Butler Water Announces New General Manager

Morgantown, KY – Butler County Water System, Inc. Board of Directors announced the appointment of Jacob Cuarta as the new general manager. He will also serve as the general manager for Warren County Water District and Simpson County Water District. Cuarta, replaces John Dix, who is retiring in June after serving our community for over 30 years.

Butler Water, American Water Works Association and water utilities nationwide will observe Drinking Water Week by recognizing the vital role tap water plays in daily life, the infrastructure that is required to carry it to and from homes and businesses, and the important work of water professionals “behind the scenes”.

MPD Drug Arrest

On April 24, 2022 Morgantown City Police conducted a Traffic Stop at the Marathon Gas Station located on Veterans Way. Through the investigation three individuals were arrested.
