MPD Drug Arrest

On June 11, 2022 Morgantown City Police conducted an attempt to serve on an Indictment on Hannah Jones, age 22 of Butler County. Through the investigation, Hannah Jones was arrested and charged with Possession Controlled Substance 1st deg 1st off (Drug unspecified) and Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess. Hannah Jones was lodged at the Butler County Jail. Assisting on scene was the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

WARREN RECC MEMBERS ASKED TO CONSERVE ENERGY

June 13, 2022 (Bowling Green, Ky) Effective at 2 p.m. today, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is urging Warren RECC and its members to reduce electric usage as much as possible during the hours of 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. daily until further notice.

FRANKFORT— A Tennessee state representative spoke with Kentucky lawmakers on Thursday about a new Tennessee law requiring people convicted of vehicular homicide due to intoxication to pay child support to each of the victim’s children.

Education committee shares teacher recruitment and retention ideas, concerns

FRANKFORT— A teacher shortage crisis could be on the horizon, and the Kentucky General Assembly is already looking at ways to confront the issue.

Kentucky Department of Education Commissioner Jason Glass testified before the Interim Joint Committee on Education on Tuesday to discuss ways Kentucky can improve teacher recruitment and retention efforts.

Western Kentucky Regional History recognized at Kentucky History Day Ceremony

A recently published book on western Kentucky history since the New Deal was given the prize for published books on the state’s history by the Kentucky Historical Society on June 4.  The awards ceremony was part of Kentucky History Day celebrated in Frankfort.
