Butler Countians along with others were invited to a one-time opportunity to view the damage to the Eggner’s ferry (Hwy 68-80) bridge across Kentucky Lake Saturday from 9 AM till 1 PM. The structure had been struck by a commercial ship during the night of January 26.

A small pickup truck and a large van collided earlier tonight on U.S. 231 in front of Aberdeen Grocery. Although substantial damage was done to both vehicles, especially the truck, no significant injuries were reported by either of the individuals involved.

The Butler County Sheriff’s Department made arrests on a variety of offenses over the weekend. Misty Dawn Drake, 35, of Morgantown, was arrested on Thursday, January 26, by Sheriff Scottie Ward after a complaint that Drake was intoxicated and "out of control."
