John Edmonds @ Cumberland Presbyterian Church

John Edmonds began his professional musical career at the age of fifteen when the group with which he sang and played piano with the Gospel Ambassadors. Edmonds serves as music director at Mount Zion Baptist Church.  He has 13 albums under his belt and is working on his 14th, has played with such notables as Ricky Skaggs, Clara Ward, James Cleveland, Della Reese, Stevie Wonder and the Coasters; and his audiences have included Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and Princess Elisabeth of Denmark, as well as Bob Hope, Quincy Jones and Mary Tyler Moore. He has also performed at the Smithsonian Institution’s American Folklife Festival in Washington, D.C. He was a recipient of the American Institute for Public Service Jefferson Award and the Kentucky Governor’s Award for the Arts.

He will perform Sunday, April 9th at 3:00pm at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Morgantown.
