Incoming sixth graders: We know that you are looking forward to beginning your studies at Butler County Middle School, but we also realize that the transition to middle school can be difficult for many students.  You are invited to participate in a special program, Jump Start, designed for incoming sixth graders to help make this transition successful, and we hope you will make plans to attend!

Jump Start will be fun and beneficial to each student.  Some of the benefits are:

·       meeting your teachers and new classmates
·       becoming more familiar with the layout of the school
·       learning to open a combination lock
·       learning what will be expected of you

Jump Start will be Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  A bus will transport students from North Butler Elementary School, Davis Crossroads, Kuntry Korner, and town.  More information about the bus schedules will be posted at a later date.  Students should eat breakfast at home, but lunch will be served at school.  If you plan to attend Jump Start, please fill out the attached form and return it to Butler County Middle School or Board of Education by July 10th.

Jump Start is just for students, but we invite parents/guardians to join us for Sixth Grade Open House on July 28th at 6:00 PM. If you have any questions, please call the school at 270-526-5647.

**Remember that all incoming sixth graders are required to have their immunizations updated and a physical before school begins August 9, 2016.  Please bring these forms with you to Jump Start, if you have already done so.
