Barren River Chapter of Kentucky Public Retirees Mtg.

The Barren River Chapter of Kentucky Public Retirees will be meeting on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hospice Facility in Bowling Green. The address is 5872 Scottsville Road, Bowling Green and is located close to the Otte Golf Center. The meeting will be held in the family room behind the administrative office. A representative from Hospice will be talking about their services and programs, and a short business meeting will be conducted as well.

Any retirees of Kentucky State, County and State Police Systems are invited to attend. This includes KRS state government employees, non-teaching staff at the regional state supported universities, employees of the local Health Departments, regional mental health/mental retardation agencies, and all quasi-state agencies (credit unions, Kentucky Association of Counties, League of Cities, and many others. CERS includes all city and county governments, police and firefighters, non-teaching staff at local boards of education (including bus drivers, janitors, cafeteria workers, etc., circuit clerks, local library employees and other local government agency employees. SPRS include all uniformed State Police Officers. Spouses of current KPR members are invited to attend/join as well.

The Barren River Chapter includes the following nine counties: Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson and Warren.

This non-profit organization's goal is to protect and improve our retirement benefits, represent and promote the interests of retirees before the General Assembly, State Retirement Board and other agencies; and provide a lobbyist to appear on our behalf before the General Assembly.
