Vinyard L. Ferrell, age 91 passed away Thursday the 29th day of December 2022 at TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, KY. Vinyard was born to the union of the late William and Myrtle Porter Ferrell on Friday the 11th day of September 1931 in Quality, KY. He was the husband of the late Katie Mae Peay Ferrell. Vinyard was preceded in death by his grandson Bradley Ferrell; son in law James Dukes; four sisters Novie Porter, Dorothy Shelton, Aline Hunt and May Mallory and one brother William Joyce Ferrell. He was a member of Huntsville Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Southern Electric in Russellville, KY. Vinyard worked in the oil fields for many years and was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, riding his four wheel around the farm and sitting on the front porch. 

Vinyard Ferrell is survived by one daughter Kim Dukes of Lewisburg, KY; two sons Sammie Ferrell of Huntsville, KY and Leo Ferrell of Hartford, KY; four grandchildren Brian Ferrell wife Teresa of Morgantown, KY, Veronica Murphy of Owensboro, KY, Francesca Humphrey of Owensboro, KY and Jamie Rhea husband Will of Auburn, KY; nine great grandchildren Andrea Murray, Kimberlea Ferrell, Garrett Murphy, Hallie Baird, Carlie Murphy, Taylor Ferrell, Jack Murphy, Elijah Ferrell and Addison Rhea; one great great grandchild Montgomery Murry and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday, January 2, 2023 at 1:00pm with Bro. Shane Garrett and Bro. Greg Fields officiating. Burial will be in the Huntsville Baptist Church Cemetery where Brian Ferrell, Will Rhea, Garrett Murphy, Jack Murphy, Elijah Ferrell and Kevin Powell will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 1, 2023 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Monday 9:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
