Financial aid loans and often grants are available to make going back to college affordable. State grant funding is based on a first-come, first-serve basis and may be gone as soon as the middle of February. If you complete your financial aid application now, you could get thousands in assistance for your education. Even those with high incomes almost always qualify for nearly $3,000. Applying for financial aid does not commit you to attend college; it commits the money for you to attend college. ADVANTAGE is trying to reach all those who are even considering attending in 2012-2013. MCU does not want you to miss out on thousands in grants, which is free money with no pay back.

Steve Christmas, Mid-Continent’s Paducah area Corporate Representative, said, “This is grant season and college grants are available for adult students. Even though a college degree isn't cheap, it is more affordable than most people think. People tend to think of loans and debt, but financial aid comes in many forms. Some employers assist with part of the tuition expense. You may qualify for federal and state grants that do not have to be paid back. Money should not stand in the way of the person who has a desire to complete his or her degree.”
