Several gathered on the banks of the Green River on Saturday night, September 15, for the 2nd Annual Butler County North Park Fest. Located in the Leonard Oak community of northwestern Butler County, the park continues to expand from two concrete boat ramps - one just above the old Woodbury Dam and another just below it, to a newly added pavilion, a stage, flagpole, and picnic tables. 

Boy Scout Troop 208 kicked off the evening with a flag raising ceremony. 
The event also featured free food (grill-master James Woodcock), musical entertainment, and several door prizes. 

Becky and the Butler County Boys and a group from Andrea’s Mission performed.  Several businesses and individuals in the community sponsored door prizes and set up booths.

County officials recognized Andrea’s Mission and Perdue Farms for their contributions to the event. 

North Park Fest is just another example of the community coming together for fun and fellowship.
