Mammoth Cave Area Grain Day - Thursday, November 29th

Greg Drake II, County Extension Agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources

Grain farmers are invited to attend the Mammoth Cave Area Grain Day at the Warren County Extension Office on Thursday November 29th.  There will be a grain crops update with Dr. Chad Lee from UK, a session on herbicide resistant weeks with Dr. Jim Martin from UK, and a session on Nutrient Management Requirements for grain farmers by NRCS Personnel.  There will also be a farm bill update from Kentucky Farm Bureau staffer Joe Cain, and a Crop Disease update by Dr. Don Hershman from UK.

The program begins at 9:00 a.m. and will end after lunch.  The program sponsor is Sanders Inc.  There is no charge to attend and CEU's and CCA hours have been applied for.  I hope grain farmers interested in increasing their knowledge of the topics on the program will make plans to attend.

For more information, contact the Butler County Extension Office at 112 E GL Smith Street, Morgantown, or call 270-526-3767.

Educational programs of the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service serve all people regardless of race, color, age, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.
