Janet Gayle Brooks, 77, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

Janet was a longtime member of Peniel Missionary Baptist Church and Order Of The Eastern Star OF Kentucky, 153 Fairdale Chapter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marie (Ingram), and Ivan Gary; husband, Jesse Norman Brooks; daughter, Lisa Brooks Bailey; brother, Tommie Gary, and grandson, Jacob McCauley.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Lori Brooks, and grandchildren, Zachary McCauley, Olivia Bailey, and Jessi Bailey.

Visitation will be from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. (EST) Friday, October 14, 2022, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Louisville, and again 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (CT) Saturday at Chapel Union Missionary Baptist Church, 9578 Caneyville Rd., Morgantown, KY.

Her funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. (CT) Saturday at Chapel Union Missionary Baptist Church, with burial at Chapel Union Church Cemetery.

Bro. Joseph Henderson will be officiating.
