Geography Bee at BCMS

After classroom rounds and two semifinal rounds, 10 finalists and an alternate have advanced to the Geography Bee School-wide Championship! The public is invited to attend this elite competition which will also be a school-wide assembly in the Butler County Middle School gymnasium at 8:30 AM on Tuesday, December 20. The following ten students will compete for National Geographic Society's title of School Champion (The School Champion will then take a written examination which may or may not qualify him/her for state-level competition in the spring.): Kimberlea Ferrell, Jacob Beasley,Annabelle Cooper, Noah Bryant, Jon Kingery, Hunter West, Wyatt Southerland, Christian White, Emily Wallace, and Austin Norris; as determined by the 2nd semi-final round, BreAnna Whittinghill will serve as an alternate in the event of absence among the top 10 at competition time.

BCMS is proud of this accomplishment and wishes good luck to all! Thanks to the social studies department and Mr. Jennings, especially, but to all of the faculty for supporting of Geography Awareness Month!
