BUTLER COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Notice to Bidders:  Qualified bidders may submit bids for the new Butler County Public Library for the Butler County Library Board as described in the bid documents prepared by Brandstetter Carroll Inc.  The project consists of the construction of a new 9,000 sf library.  Bids will be received for a General Contractor to complete the work.  The Library Board will receive lump sum bids until 2pm, local time, on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.  Bids are to be delivered to the current Butler County Public Library located at 116 Ohio Street, Morgantown, Kentucky 42261.  Bids received after this date and time will not be accepted.  The Owner reserves all rights to reject any and all bids/proposals and waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Owner can be served.  The Owner will accept the most qualified and best bid that serves their interest. 

 There will be no prebid meeting.  Contractors are welcome to visit the project site.

Successful bidder shall begin the work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the work within the contract time of 365 calendar days.  Work is subject to liquidated damages per the Supplemental Conditions of the contract.

 

All bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the work.  A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to the Owner will be required of the successful bidder.
