BCMS travelled to Grayson County to compete in its first ever meet on April 13th.  The Bears showed up from the very start dominating Grayson County Middle School and Central Hardin Middle School in multiple events.
“It is great to see these young athletes working hard and reaping the rewards.” Explained Coach Donaldson. “Having a middle school team allows many of these students to be involved outside of the classroom, and leads to a successful high school program. 

Butler County Middle School won both the Boys and Girls meet by bringing home victories in events both on the track and in field events.
“This is my first year with the program, but I can see that the work that everyone puts in and the parent support has helped this program to grow.” Detailed Coach Richmond.”

The Butler County Track and Field program has grown overwhelmingly from last year and now rosters over 60 athletes. The program has now expanded to allow for middle school meets. Parents and coaches collectively hope that the continued success of the program will lead to home meets being held in Butler County. “We hope in the future that we can showcase the talent of these athletes at BCHS for the home crowd.” Donaldson went on to explain. “We just need renovations on our current facilities to allow for that to happen.”
Both BCHS and BCMS Track Teams will be in action next week at Warren Central for the SKY Conference Meet.
